2018 Continuing Education

Crittenden has yet to apply for Continuing Education Credits for the 2018 Crittenden Multifamily Conference. Once the agenda has been set the credits will be applied for.
If you are attending the conference and would like Crittenden to apply for continuing education credits in your respective state, please send a request in writing (with your information, the type of credit you are seeking and the state you are seeking credit in) no later than Monday, December 4, 2017 to marquette@crittendenconferences.com

*Credits cannot be offered until Crittenden Conferences, Inc. has been granted Provider Approval and Course Approval from the state in which credits were requested and applied for. Credits cannot be guaranteed until rosters have been submitted and approved by the states (which happens after the conference) in which Crittenden Conferences, Inc. are approved as providers and the courses are approved.

MCLE (Continuing Legal Education)
Crittenden WILL APPLY to offer up to 9.5 CLE credit hours in the state of KANSAS.
Kansas - the following states will issue CLE credits based on the reciprocating rule: Colorado, Florida, New York.

CE (Continuing Education) Credits
Crittenden does NOT automatically apply for CE credits. We must receive a request to do so. If you would like CE Credit, please put your request (including the specific type of CE credit) in writing no later than Monday, December 4, 2017 to allow time for Crittenden to go through the application process, and send to:

CPE Credits
 
Crittenden Conferences, Inc. is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website:www.learningmarket.org.

There is no advanced preparation required for attendance.


Learning objectives/completion of the conference and/or conference sessions will allow attendees the following (but will not be limited to):

  • Know the current (2018) state of the multifamily industry, the biggest players and where the industry is headed in terms of grown, occupancy projects and the financials, etc.
  • Understand the appropriate diligence for acquiring and/or lending on a Multifamily Project including, but not limited to: How important a leave review is, sub-market and neighborhood factors, etc.
  • Understand the ceiling of current apartment demand, meaning you will be able to determine what areas are going to see more development, more rent growth, etc.
  • Know the current trends in multifamily financing and how they could affect business while knowing how to best position themselves to receive financing for projects and recognize how various trends intersect
  • Understand modern day security and how new technology and key strategies improve and modernize apartment security in addition to the impact security can have on resident experiences and expectations
  • Understand the 2018 multifamily operations trends including best practices, opportunities/challenges and industry trends
  • Be able to understand and build the apartment building of the future in regards to technology and activation
    • by knowing what renters are looking for when renewing leases, how property managers can proactively differentiate their properties and how technology optimizes the renter experience
  • Use the changing multifamily landscape to understand and better underwriting, equity, development challenges, investment sales and the impact of the Houston flood on the Dallas multifamily world
  • Know what to look for and what to avoid when partnering with an energy broker while also being able to determine if they should even hire an energy partner
  • Understand the capital markets of multifamily including bridge, mezz, etc.
  • Understand how reputation management has an impact on the overall revenue they make or don't make and how to implement a reputation management training to increase revenue
  • Know how to buy to maximize yield, meaning how to buy smart in a competitive market, identify true value-add opportunities
  • Discover the financial impact of corporate social responsibility and understand the new frontiers of reputation management
  • Know how to keep real estate loans on track after the LOI, from the documentation/due process side to common issues/claims title companies often see
  • Understand how to make green projects profitable by reviewing case studies of profitable green multifamily Passivhaus projects from developers from across the country
